@DrDevilDD Would have to say they also did in the mid 80's to early 90's. Apparently in an interview with Steph McMahon she said some one said to the McMahons why pay two men for a match when you can pay one all the time or most of the time. Whic I beleiev is a false econmy as people love tag team wrestling to add variety to a card. In this respect maybe the gimmick match marked the end of the golden age of tag team wrestling as these now can add variety to a card. Just a theory.

Can't believe she claimed Brock Lesnar never paid his dues. He was NCAA Champion twice and has a great amateur background in wrestling second only to Kurt Angle. Also he never left wresling to persue a movie career like some he went in to competitive sports mnamely UFC and became the UFC champ. I think she picked Lesnar our out due to the fact she never got on with Sable and took an indirect insult at her through her husband (Lesnar).

Tag teams are nothing special now either. I believe the only period WWE actually concentrated on them was back in the late 90s to early 00s.
