2008 St. Pats. Graduation

Lyrics:

Blest are they, the poor in spirit; theirs is the kingdom of God. Blest are they, full of sorrow; they shall be consoled.

Refrain: Rejoice, and be glad! Blessed are you, holy are you! Rejoice and be glad! Yours is the kingdom of God!

Blest are they, the lowly ones: they shall inherit the earth. Blest are they, who hunger and thirst; they shall have their fill. (R)

Blest are they, who show mercy; mercy shall be theirs. Blest are they, the pure of heart; they shall see God! (R)

Blest are they, who seek peace; they are the children of God. Blest are they who suffer in faith; the glory of God is theirs. (R)

Blest are you, who suffer hate, all because of me. Rejoice and be glad, yours is the kingdom of God; shine for all to see.(R)

  • The musicality of the song is lost...

This is merely a performance and not a song of worship...

A clear example when the ego takes over the heart and all meaning is lost...

Although the solos were good but the only person who came close to heartfelt singing was the second soloist.

  • WAYNOS!

  • yea... the orginal sounds the best

  • Weird arrangement of a VERY beautiful hymn!!! And WHY???? : /

  • wow nice!

  • learn to hold a video camera

  • Huh?? What was that? What on earth happened to this lovely song. Who arranged this rendition ? Shame on whomever took this wonderful melody and converted it into an ugly twang. Never have I heard such liberties taken and distortions of the melody as I did just now. UGH. On a good note, congratulations on your graduation.

  • awesome and congratulations to the graduates. May God bless you all.

  • nice work.
