How to make acoustic sound absorbtion panels. all together costed around $125 to make. my studio sounds 10x better now. i go to several big studios and i always wondered why the speaks sounded so good and the bass was so tight and punchy and now i know it was just the room treatment, now the speakers. i can record guitar and vocals now without a booth because their are no slapback echoes and less room reverb. So if you are serious about music, you have to go out and either get some of these panels or make them yourself like a did. You will save 100-200 dollars

  • So there's not much different between the fabric at Wal-Mart & the "Acoustic" fabric these online places want to sell you for 10.00 per yard?

  • @hawg427 as long as its stretchy and has holes threw it thats lets air through it will be the same as the expensive stuff. the one i found is a shiny material and transparent when you hold it up to light, but once its on the panels you cant see through it.

  • I saw another video that used Roxul insulation, which is rock wool. I found it at Lowes online product RXSS323 and it says it is good for sound deadening, while the other Rock Wool product has no sound deadening qualities in it at all. I wonder what the difference is?

  • Thank's.

  • A) This is not a bass trap but a broadband sound absorber and B) a layer of cloth will not hold the mineral wool fibers in - when delivered and stored by the hardware store it comes in thick plastic and stays that way when at the store. Usually it is even stored outside the store.

Unprotected mineral wool in your home can cause all sorts of negative side effects.

  • what kind of board ? what are they called exaclty please

  • Good cheap bass trap, But better used in the corners buddy :)
