Come hear tips & war stories on making fast, responsive (a.k.a. "non-janky") Android apps. No more ANRs! Eliminate event loop stalls! Fast start-ups! Optimized database queries with minimal I/O! Also, learn about the tools and techniques we use to find performance problems across the system and hear what's coming in the future.

  • An excellent talk and very insightful - probably not suited for Android beginners, though

  • It is hard to do Android Apps I think on my opinion.

  • This guy speak too fast, i almost can't following.

  • umm... this guy needs to ...umm ...work on his ... umm... public speaking skillz

  • I that it was funny when he said :"You could drill down into all of the children"

  • um.... thank you... um.... very much :D :D

  • A lot of this should be a nobrainer to most programmers. However, there are some things people overlook, and there are some interesting facts in there. I like the figures he gave on what google considers acceptable. Like the response times on their web apps. Less than 500ms and less than 250ms on some. Pretty neat that they hold their devs to that standard. No brainers like setting up writes in a UI thread, I haven't seen anyone do in a long time. At least if they have had ANY experience.

  • Good info!!
