شهدت مباراة في التصفيات الأوروبية المؤهلة إلى كأس العالم تحت 17 عاماً للسيدات حادثة غريبة من نوعها تمثلت في قيام اللاعبة الحسناء آرنا ليند التي تشغل مركز حراسة المرمى في الفريق الأيسلندي في إهداء المنتخب الإٍسباني أربعة أهداف بصورة غريبة, مما جعلها تتصدر عناوين الصحف العالمية. وجاء ذلك في المباراة التي سحق فيها المنتخب الإسباني نظيره الأيسلندي برباعية نظيفة، حيث ساهمت حارسة مرمى المنتخب الأيسلندي في هذه الهزيمة الثقيلة بعد أن قدمت أداءً باهتاً وصفته الصحف الأيسلندية بأنه أشبه بالخيال, نظراً لعدم مقدرة حارسة المرمى على صد أي كرة سددت على المرمى.
