I love Swen almost as much as if he were mine. He is an extremely gifted Bird and you are so lucky to have him.PLEASE DO NOT GIVE HIM ANY ALCOHOL OR COKE. IT IS VERY BAD FOR HIM AND COULD KILL HIM!!!!! DOROTHY FROM ny

I don't give him anything > he steals it. Part of his preferred lifestyle! In fact all of the budgies I know here in Japan have a craving for alcohol. Sven's brother has been know to bathe in red wine.

It's probably the coke that did him in! He's quite alert at the beginning, but around mid-vid he starts having heavy eyelids the way our budgie does when he is that relaxed. At one point Sven forgets to preen and is almost asleep! Our budgie never sleeps during the day; he will be quiet at times and do some preening, or a lot of talking, but never sleeping with the head in the feathers (we do give him a full 12 hours of sleep every night...).
