Wonderful song full of pathos. The soldiers are thrust into all sorts of wars for no valid reason. It creates many problems for the soldiers and their family members. Many lost lives and limbs thereby ruining their family members even. This is mainly due to the greed of politicians who are least interested in the people's welfare. This movie is superbly directed by Chetan Anand. Excellent film indeed.

In the 50's, when Chou-en-Le visited India, it was Hindi Chinee Bhai- Bhai. Then in 1962 it became Hindi Chinee Bye - Bye. Since then India could not wash the wound inflicted by the Chinese just as Pakistan could not wash theirs inflicted by India in 1971.

This beautiful song bring the sadness of the war to life. A truly masterpiece.
