On one of the Beaufort Hunts last hunting days in the 2007/8 season, we watched Susie Preest plaiting a horse at Badminton Stables before being loaded onto the lorry. Susie, whos worked at this yard for nearly 28 years, favours the needle and thread method because she says the plaits are more durable for a full days hunting. Nifty finger work, Susie! • @thehorsesrule101 Yeah but they don't stay in for quite as long, and generally look messier, however if you're showing lower level it shouldn't matter either way.

  • now can you just band it instead of thread?

  • haha the lady at the end acts like she doesnt know about horses like she isn't sure
