  • Where is their pocket masks with a oneway valve?

Interesting but I can pick out the errors.

  • Well actually, even though it is a dummy. It is still important to use a mask. The reason being is because people for example the general public, will get use to using no mask in training, then when it comes time to do C.P.R. in the field they use no pocket mask for protection. This is why a lot of divisions and branches around the world stopped simulating putting gloves on because people were going to an emergency scene and simulating putting gloves on when they were exposed to bodily fluids.

  • @dtayl0611---Hey, no problem =)

  • @TRIXSTER03 Really!! i was taught in my first aid training that you could only ever be at the back of the casualty when rolling them into the recovery position? :? well its Good to hear from another paramedic, Thanks Mike :)

  • i'm glad malaysia has st john ambulance for uniform unit at high school..

  • @dtayl0611---Actually, that's wrong. When performing a any type of roll, you roll towards you. The reasons are simply because this way, an airway can be cleared, assessed/ re-assessed, etc. They were doing it right.

  • @WiccanHighPriest0---Yes absolutely

  • @TRIXSTER03 I agree with you. If people have "drilled" a particular way, that's what's in their brain. Just like how a karate blackbelt automatically goes into kata in a fight.

  • It's a shame that first aid training courses are so prohibitively expensive. When I was a university student, despite having no income (all I had was a loan, which left me with very little after using it for expenses), I couldn't even get a reduced rate. More people would learn if it wasn't so expensive.

  • at 1:00 the dude is on the wrong side, when putting the casualty in the recovery position, he should really be at the back of the casualty instead the front... :O

just thought i say that =D

  • @tipplegend99 - ur right,..he was actually blocking his airway!! hehe. Compressions r 100 per sec so they werent fast..actually slow i think!
