I know. We brought this piece out again this year, my senior year, and i played it my freshman year as well. I was crying at the second movement thinking about all the memories i had in band and how i used to be a little freshman...and this piece is beautiful with any insturments
I didn't know Pieds en l'air could be so sweet without woodwinds. I actually started crying *blush*.
Mattachins really should start as quiet as possible. It's not supposed to sound like a finale until the very end. Great ending though, it catches a lot of bands off guard, but this is very good.
