  • Is this really that much better than an inverted diamond/SPUI? I really dont see ATL drivers really getting it...and what is the through flow on these intersections?

  • I really wish more cities would put these in. DC is a nightmare--either regular intersections with very few left turn lanes anywhere or else roundabouts, which are (except for the small ones) much more complicated than this (not that I ever imagine DC would bother getting these in...they can shutdown roads for weeks for movie shoots, political events, and construction on anything except said roads, but God forbid they'd do it to improve commutes).

  • It's a good idea. What is with all of those orange pylons though?

  • I just think its retarded how society didn't go with this in the first place, just like how we decided to run ophone lines instead of cable lines, or use gasoline instead of electric in the first place... what a sad excuse for an intelligent race

  • Ya the first time you ever come up to one of these I think everybody has the same reaction "what the fuck", now I'm used to them and it kinda makes sense, especially if your are turning left onto I44 or James River Freeway.

  • @bradleysbishop where in atlanta are they?

  • We're getting these in Atlanta and I like it. The regular, sequenced way, of doing this isn't very efficient and I think most people will nix the new ideas mainly because, "Change is bad!" Get past that.

I also like the idea of round-abouts. They're common in the UK and, while most people would find them confusing, at first, over here, if you sit down and look at it it makes a lot of sense. The concept of right-of-way is simple too: Person in the round-about always has the right of way.

  • And once that happens, we'll have the same problem but for right turns!!

  • We are getting one of these in my town too. St. Cloud, MN.

  • Before you know it, we will be driving on the left hand side.
