This is a quick walkthrough of an interesting 3-in-1 stabilizer. It's a motion stabilizer, shoulder/chest stabilizer, as well as a table top tripod. Stuned for another part for test footage and my comments.

  • will it work well on a canon 550d?

  • @manguadesignz The specs are 1.7lbs maximum load. I assume that's for the stabilizer portion. A 550D with battery, kit lens, and memory card is 1.6lbs. I don't like operating things near maximum and have never tried this in particular. If you can find a store which lets you try it out, I suggest you try it.

  • Did you create a follow-up to this video? Any thoughts on how well this will work with a smaller DSLR? The ModoSteady specs claim it supports up to 1.7 pounds, but most reviews I have read suggest the ModoSteady only works will with tiny point and shooter cameras. My Panasonic GH2 w/14-140mm lens weighs 1.34 pounds, and I want to get a stabilizer for shooting video.
