just a video showing how we drilled the holes so that the clips on the civic fd2 side skirts snap in. obviously we measured the location of the holes before drilling. this video just shows the actual drilling of one of the holes and how we made them precisely 580-585 thousandths. I recorded this on an iPhone4

  • Thanks @danielgoncalves69. Great idea, I'd read on as subaru board of someone using double-sided tape which would then stick to the rocker panel. Did the skirt install as well as you'd hoped? Thanks again for the assist!

  • @s13070610 Yep it lined up perfect! Also, keep in mind that when the mfg make the skirts, the clips have some play in them in the middle and really hold on tight the ends, and you can always put some 3M body tape in the middle section for more security.

  • How do you determine exactly where the holes should be? Trying to install Accord Euro Type S OEM skirts and no template is available. The rocker panel for the type-s comes from the factory with a different panel already drilled...not sure though

  • @s13070610 we put some touchup paint on the tips of clips that would go into the wholes and basically marked on the side skirt where to drill.

  • OMG this is like death, watching holes drilled in nice clean shiny black paint and no protection to surrounding areas to prevent scratches......do you have a vid of the finished product???

  • @ugkistheclick LOL.... yea i will make a new video with the side skirts installed in a few weeks once the weather gets better....check back.

  • @danielgoncalves69 great to hear! I'll be patiently awaiting the arrival of my own vernier caliper and installation hardware so I can take on this install myself. Thanks again!

  • I'd be kinda iffy doing this

  • I've got a few questions. I added a front lip to my maxima and im kinda dissapointed with the "Bolt" look. I like it because they blend flawlessly (Just 2 on each side) and really keep the bastard on. What about the side skirts? Is there a nut on the other end of the screw to lock it in or do you just screw it in and hope it stays?

  • Fo sho!
