Vehicle Fire 2 28 09 Potomac Fire Company 22

On 2/28/2009 at approximately 1100 hours, units from the southside were dispatched for a vehicle fire on Route 135 west of Westernport, MD. Engine Tanker 22 responded with 8 Volunteers. Engine 24, Squad 22, and Westernport PD were also on the scene. Dash Camera footage of the response, Dash Camera footage on the scene, and FC II Helmet Camera footage from Asst Chief 22 (Derham).

I dont want to Monday morning qurterback, BUT Does your department/company always attack side-on or straight-on? If I can offer some advice from 30 years on the job: ALWAYS attack vehicular from the corners (45 degrees). That being said, I enjoy your videos! STAY SAFE!

Ha! I understand. My first ever "on the pipe" was a working shed fire with live ammo. Ahh, the memories. I wasnt trying to be a hard ass with my comments, just a heads-up. STAY SAFE!
