An apparent goal scored by an attacking player when any part of his stick makes contact with the puck above the height of the crossbar of the goal frame shall not be allowed. The determining factor is where the puck makes contact with the stick. If the puck makes contact with the stick below the level of the crossbar and enters the goal, this goal shall be allowed.

This play was TOTALLY legal. He hit the puck when it was at the SAME high as the crossbar not ABOVE.

First off, they were both AWFUL calls. Anyone with eyes can see that was a high stick. Richards never said that was a penalty. His hit was 100% clean, shoulder to side. As angry as I am about the ref's giving you that game on a silver platter with two horrible calls that like, I'll get over soon once the Flyer's put the Habs out of their misery.
