The creation of Moritat's lettering font for "Elephantmen War Toys: Yvette". Hours of work compressed into three minutes. Finished font will be available at http://www.comicbookfonts.com the week of July 27, 2009.

@pezorama 1) FOG5 manual page 349; 2) I type them in, but you could create a text file to copy and paste from, to save some time.

Hey JG, I'm trying to learn fontographer and the manual doesn't explain it too well. Can you answer two questions for me please? 1] How do you set up the autoligs? 2] that 'mamemimomu, etc,' is there a short cut to that, or is it all typed in everytime?

I enjoyed watching this, thank you for sharing. Just how long did it take you to make that font? Judging by the looks of it, it must have been a couple of weeks at the very least... all that work boiled down into a video of roughly three minutes.

I used a video camera, actually! then downloaded to imovie, added the b/w filter and sped it up to the max three or four times over. Found out about something called Screenium after I did this, though. Anyone tried it?

The letters were scanned, autotraced and sorted in Illustrator CS3. I then copy and paste the alphabets into Fontographer 4.7.3 where the cleanup is done and the rest of the characters created.
