This video follows my first two 3/4" rocket making tutorial videos. Here, I am switching from cardboard tubes, to standard PVC. PVC holds more pressure for greater thrust. It is also cheaper. I have made a simple modification to my 3/4" Perfect-Nozzle kit to accommodate the slightly larger diameter. The homemade rocket nozzles can still be formed with anchoring cement or bentonite clay (kitty litter), however I have found that Durham's Rock Hard Watter Putty adheres to the PVC the best. I purchased the putty at the Home Depot. The two motors shown in the video are rammed sugar nitrate rockets (powdered r-candy propellant). With PVC the grain core can be made longer to get a higher pressure than in the cardboard tubes. This will give it more power to lift a heavier payload.

  • kool vid!! watch it with captioning on....LMAO!!!

  • @brandonsg123 Your feet would blast out from under your head, and drag you half of the way to Mexico with you head bonking the ground every 5 or 6 feet. I don't recommend that you try it mainly because your shoes might melt and begin to look more like Crocs.
