A movie trailer project inspired by the graphic novel "The INCAL", from Moebius and Jodorowsky.

A while ago, I reunited a bunch of artists from the original "Heavy Metal" movie to produce a trailer based upon this great work. Then I got busy building my company and it sat on my shelf until a few months back, when I decided to revamp it with today's digital punch.

Two sequences from the original "Heavy Metal" movie were borrowed from Moebius's work; "The Long Tomorrow" story and "Arzach". Given that till this day, Moebius and Jodorowsky are heralded as some of the world's greatest Sci-Fi visionaries; it seems to me that a film, based on their work would be even more successful than one inspired by it.

Bringing these incredible artist's work to the big screen, I am convinced would be a great success...so much so that I animated and directed this piece with other like artists.

  • FOR GOD'S SAKE MAKE THIS FILM!!!

  • the digital "punch" in this updated trailer does NOT FIT the incal. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD rethink how this digital sheen is going to obscure/destroy the very line and quality of Moebius' original work that we all love so much. your original trailer was pitch perfect - it doesnt need the cheap "revemp" - it needs talented hand drawn traditional animation!!!

  • I like the colors, but tone down the digital sheen by ALOT and maybe change Difool's voice actor. He makes it sound like a bad video game. But seriously, this movie WILL BE made some day, and from the looks of this trailer I hope it's you guys.

  • @ode2oddvideo i have to agree about the weird bending cgi bgs >< although i like the voice over gets the premis of the story across

  • the most incredible stuff ever for the best graphic novel of all time, I hope this will be made

  • Smooth animation!

  • @ode2oddvideo Good god! Send this patron to the pilot!

  • europe moebius =/= american moebius

  • lmao at the epic meal time music

  • lmao @ the epic meal time music

  • This is most definitely my favorite strip ever run in "HEAVY METAL", & that mag was the perfect atmosphere for it ...along with the mag anticipating & leading-up to the release of "Blade Runner" to sparely populated theaters in Manhattan. If I remember right the 1st ADOJDF concluded by the end of that summer. I would love to see this get made, and yes, I too would enjoy a more rawkin'-n-techno futuristic soundtrack. ^_^
