EDIT: ESPN started ion 1979, ESPN2 was in 1993 so this has to be early to mid 90s

That's really cool. Some decent weight being shifted even back then. Got to say I liked the tyre toss. It's one of those freaky events that make strongman (sumo, pole push fight,arm wrestling etc). It's not powerlifting but a more general strength.

I agree, the tire toss was pretty retarded. But it is still cool to look back for us strongman geeks for old times sake.

This was when the WSM was in its infancy and some of the events were pretty ridiculous. The WSM event has come a long way since then.
