Yes, military spending needs to be cut - but a good chunk of that savings needs to go towards education and healthcare. Wealthiest and most powerful nation on earth, some of the lowest ranking test scores and healthcare in the developed world. Now that's embarrassing.

Stop building weapons and start caring about our kids, our sick, and our debt.

most important issue the US should address is their debt. cut spending, bring home as many troops you can from all over the world (not so easy cause a void like this has political meaning, think about it). cut everything you can. if the US will crash this world will go fakakta. US is the only country in the world that keeps it a place you can live in. without the US we'll all suffer wars and devastation.
