i wouldn't go as far as to say that they are the kings of thrash metal there are quite a few other bands who are equally if not better than slayer .. sure they are good and one of the oldest remaining thrash bands but kings hardly

yes, finally, i get to see dave lombardo on the coolest drum song of the 80's, 90's seasons. it's not on my dvd's and it's not bostaph (good drummer). this song got me into mtal drumming, great guitar, and it's about the insane asylum called the middle east. hell, and i do mean hell, it's one of my favorite slayer songs. metalli who? aren't they a speed metal band that sold out after 1988? slayer the most important thrash metal band of all, at least from a drumming perspective.

@85ihateposeurs Jeff fucked up his solo bad in 94 on the Jon Stewart show. Also in my opinion these are the best guitar solos they ever wrote

@ala0ngr RRRight! But IMHO Dead Skin Mask is the better one. And South of Heaven. Slayer play the best "slow" Thrash songs, and finally they rule the others in the fast ones.
