You are right, of course, we don't know that we always wake up as the same body. It's actually wrong to say one wakes up AS a body or even as the consciousness OF a body. Well, how does Jac put it? All we say is "boncum", or something like that (Irish for 'bs'). Cheers to Jac for her work, by the way!

@Winrockful oh yes. Doesn't mind love to know why. Doesn't mind love to find purpose and reason? This mind is too noisy to know innately that what is sought cannot be known, what is has no reason and cannot possibly have ever existed... so for now i just watch. How can we absolutely know for sure that we always wake up as THIS body? I have no way of knowing.

Yes, exactly. It is good to remember that even failure to let go is not one's own responsibility. To me, however, there are still many problems: One is practical: Most people hate the notion of not having free will, so you can't talk about it publicly. Further, I for one would like to know: Why did consciousness evolve at all and why do I always wake up as the consciousness of THIS body in the morning...

Even the enjoying of it, or the keeping of it or throwing out of it is a done deal. Controlling the control is the same as trying to control. So.... it is all done, there is no control, no such thing as free will... No such thing as someone to have any of it. Gotta enjoy that - as if there were a choice.
