btw..in a pinch if you can't get the dycon dicon? radish reg radish thinly sliced with work..if you can find korean or Asian market you find big bags of that chile powder which is usually made into a paste first not just tossed in like that..

what was this mess? just sprinkle a few dots of salt and it's ready to eat ewwww?what happened to brine= sea salt or rock and water measured to the cabbage alone for up to 24 hrs before you even start to make it then rinsed 3x? then shredding carefully the added ingredients then the aging process ? the Korean girl looked disgusted or she is horrid cook too..who put that oaf in charge of this recipe?radish should be julienne in small strips or shredded as with the ginger even I know better

I don't know why there is so much criticism of this video. It was nice for what it was. The young woman was doing the video for a college project, I would have to guess it for for videography and not culinary arts. I'm sure her kimchi was fine. I make mine in crocks to ferment it and I'm surprised how many "authentic" kimchi recipes only "ferment" over-night. I ferment for two to six months and it's great. For me, Kimchi is a condiment that goes with nearly anything when you need a veggie
