The news agency which exposed illegal arms dealing and cricket match-fixing has been destroyed by a vindictive government. Tehelka first came to prominence after it secretly filmed cricketers admitting taking bribes to fix matches. A year later, it turned its attention to the murky world of arms dealing, exposing a network of corruption that went right to the top. In the ensuing scandal the BJP President, Defence Minister and other important politicians were forced to resign. Now Tehelka is paying the price for taking on the government.

The corruption still exists, INTO 2009----India Like Saudi is still buying the bulk of its military systems from foreign sources; just recently a $1.1 billion air defense system.....NO CREDIBLE POWER RELIES ON FOREIGN SOURCES OF ARMS...you make your own, and if they are crap at first, you continually invest, research and improve them over time.....Russia, China and the USA do not buy their military equipment from foreign countries...so why is India...ANSWER..CORRUPTION.
