Nadia El-Awady: Arab Science and Technology

Nadia El-Awady is based in Cairo, Egypt, where she works as a freelance science journalist. She became president of the World Federation of Science Journalists in 2009 and is the past president of the Arab Science Journalists Association. She worked for several years as the managing science editor at IslamOnline.net and just finished working on a project with the International Center for Journalists on training Egyptian journalists in investigative reporting. Nadia has won two international awards for her work and has a B.Sc. in medicine from Cairo University and an MA in journalism from the American University in Cairo. You can meet her in 2011 in Cairo at the world's largest gathering of science journalists - over 1000 of them! - at the World Conference of Science Journalists.
