I was always a huge Dr. Death fan but always liked LOD too

I was always a huge Dr Death fan, and I love how JR would get so carried away calling his matches. I guarantee if you asked Ross who his fave of all time was, he'd say Steve Williams.

Teddy long ref that match didn't he job them out of the title at the clash of the champions. He became the danny davis of the nwa!!!!!!!!!!!

8 min and 26 sec of this, is waaaaaay better than Cena or Orton vs HHH at WM.
That's just how much better NWA was compared to WWE

Man...did you see the Doc pressing Big Hawk. Strong MF

@frofro73 I agree. I hated the story of "brainwashing" but loved them fighting.

@arlichar11 My freshman year in college was Doc's senior year. He already had the Dr Death nickname, and I'd sometimes see him jogging around campus at OU. He weighed around 330 lbs back then. You're a good football player when you're already a campus legend by your senior year.

@miamiderek1 id have to agree... he did seem to give it a little extra when dr death is involved

Steve Williams had top 3 usable strength in pro wrestling history. I mean, he could gorilla press ANYONE!! Not that they didn't help the balance with their hands, but if you watch WARGAMES vs. the Freebirds and the Samoans, he press Terry Gordy into the top of the cage over and over. AMAZING!...heck, I'm going to find it now!

RIP HAWK WHAAAAAt A RUSH
This match is a great example of how good the commentators for the NWA were at selling the story of the match. JR never missed a beat with the moves, and the other guy (Bob Caudle was it?) was great at backing him up.

Gordon Solie, Bob Caudle, and Lance Russel were the best back in the day.
