VMWare and coLinux serve different purposes. I've been using coLinux on XP for almost 3 years and it works great. I use it to access to my Linux installation without having to create an image and duplicate things.
This isn't installing, this is configuring ptap network. Installing is running the setup program, downloading an image, customizing that image, configuring esd for sound, etc. For network setup, why not just use slirp. It doesn't need any setup, and it is fast enough for most people's usage.
It crashes a lot and uses a lot of memori

Why bother? Go get Vmware Server for free. It works perfectly.

I understand bridging the connections, but why are you _adding_ WinPCap to it?
