This song was performed for the first time in 1968 by English singer Tammy Wynette, on the music composed by Billy Sherrill, in the country-song style and reached the "Golden" status in Germany. This song was also performed by other singers, including Elton John. In the Western Germany, a popular Schlager singer Michael Holm wrote a German text to this song with a different name "Who is looking for love" instead of "Stand by your man" as sounded initially the original.

Кроме того, она была спета несколькими другими артистами и даже самим Элтоном Джоном. Also: Guter Versuch, allerdings kommt an Marianne keiner ran, auch wenn das Lied damals von der Plattenfirma für einige Künstler frei gegeben worden ist.

Ich denke Alla Pugacheva hätte es besser hinbekommen.

In Russisch/Sowjetischen sprachigen Quellen war es nichts von irgendeinem Copyright geschrieben... Sofia Rotaru ist die Königin sowjetischer und russisch/ukrainish/moldwischer Pop-Musik. Keine andere Sängerin könnte das Lied in Osteuropa besser singen (und keiner hat es geklappt) deshlab 5 Sterne von mir! Sofia Rotaru - Die Prima Donna!

Die Musik und der Text sind einfach richtig schön! Hab im Laufe meines Lebens das Lied schon von sooo vielen unterschiedlichsten Sängerinnen, Sängern oder Gruppen gehört, aber ich find´s immer wieder wundervoll! LG
