  • What EDF and NMFS call science has been rejected as by peer reviewed scientific community. A fishery cannot be managed with lack of or poor data. I personally see healthy fish populations in my area by spending 250 days a year on the water, and #'s are contrary to NMFS stock assesments. Catch shares are the worst possible management model, limiting harvest to select individuals and treating a public resourse as a commodity. Rec fishermen will always be true stewardships of healthy oceans

  • these people are making this a commodity not a fishery and they are taking the fisherman out of fishing and making it a corporate venture

check the background on the EDF OFFICERS

  • Catch shares can't be implemented fast enough in the U.S. and the world. Dr. Rader has done excellent work throughout his career and I'm glad to see him so focused on catch shares.

  • Nature is important.
