2009 Shelby SuperCars Ultimate Aero

The SSC engineering team equipped the 2009 Ultimate Aero with a 15% increase in horsepower, a revamped front fascia design, and an array of important interior upgrades. The most substantial change is an SSC-designed, 1-piece billet aluminum engine block.

The SSC. It's a real sports car. The Bugatti is the stupidest, goofiest, gaudiest, tackiest contraption ever.

The old Ultimate Aero was a 9 second car in the quarter mile, while the Veyron posted around a 10.2 second quarter mile. there is a .1 of a second difference between the Veyron and Aero, and this was the old model of the Aero. They say the new Aero can reach 287 mph, on a long enough stretch of road.

@gerfall Do you think that the Germans are not already planning on some other piece of Engineering? Even if some new SSC overtakes the Veyron SS, the race won't stop. Could be even a new CCX from sweden, but that's next year.

@playman9111 Considering the Bugatti is AWD and the SSC is RWD, obviously it will be faster in the 0-60. You're wrong when you say it will be way ahead. At the top end the SSC will pull away from the Bugatti like it's none of it's business. Seeing as the SSC is half the weight of the Veyron.
