Hey, I'm starting my own crochet business at my school. Everyone likes my ideas, but I'm not sure I'm doing it right. My friend crochets too, and she has the same yarn, same hook, and same talent. What's the matter? Is your yarn supposed to twirl around when you single crochet? My friend tells me that hers does the same thing, but not as bad as mine. PLEASE HELP !!!!!!???!!!

I am not sure what you mean by twirl around.

Thank you so much for this video. I am in the process of making an afghan using this stitch and it is looking wonderful.

not to be a pain but when i learned to do this stitch you don't turn your work at all, the knitting needle stays on the left hand side, and your work back and forth without turning..

This is another example of many on how the results will turn out the same working a different way. You end up with the same result.

you're probably putting too much tension on the yarn - working too tightly

When I make a chain of any number then single crochet across the chain once, it comes out looking all twirled. Is it the needle or yarn I am using? It doesn't sound right. I know I am single crocheting right because I learned that from my friend who is good with crocheting everything..........

@theonlysusieheart I just bought an afghan made from broomstick lace for $1 at the used store. Only $1 for a beautiful blue, light blue, and dark blue afghan! It excited me about the stitch, which I had read about but the patterns never made sense. Now I understand. Wow!

Dear @111ladybugg, you don't skip any stitches. After you sc 4x in the {set of 4 loops} you immediately begin to sc 4x in the next {set of 4 loops.} Hope this helps.

Dear Jeri, I don't know what you mean about the yarn twirling around when you single crochet. Please explain. And don't start a crochet business at school until you know what you are doing; that doesn't make any sense.
