Rejections Ahoy! The most heated Fort Worth City Council meeting ever (Part I)

For the first time during his seven-year reign, Moncrief had to twitch his mustache, dust off the gavel and eject a few disrespectful protesters who kept interrupting proceedings to insist the discussion about the Rainbow Room raid was pushed to the very back of the agenda, as if to imply that was some sort of homophobic move by the city to "sweep it under the rug".

Uh, let me just say, as a former avid city council presentation speaker, not including Jim Lane when he would leave his chair for a burrito whenever I'd step up to the podium ;), that council is in it for the long haul and will indeed stay until 1am if they have to when the last speaker has spoken -- as they did during this session. Moncrief gave these obnoxious tools many opportunities to calm down, but they kept shouting over him, forcing him to summon the marshals and remove 'em. Good times.

Moncrief should have pointed out that all other issues....the homeless...the students...whatever that were being addressed, statistically no doubt include gays. Therefore, the are issues PLUS! I.e, you've got the homeless AND the homeless gays....all these "protesters" have are the gay thing. lawl.
