The end of the movie says it, she gave her baby Thayer's name. It's pretty obvious that he was the father, even though this explicit scene where they probably had sex wasn't shown in the movie.

This movie had be hysterically crying at the end because I could not understand how you can love someone so much and not be with them, well that and Thayer. Thayer, Thayer, Thayer. Scott did a fucking A+ job in this movie. I wanted them to kiss so bad it physically made me hurt. I'm too emotionally involved with this movie. haha.
But anyways, it was the greatest movie of all time, and I can't wait to finally get it.

Actully it was a dream so it doesnt count. They never actully do but they both love each other, but neather one of them exspecailly amber wont admit or say it due to her social status/ Like the title says Thayre was a Teenage Dirtbag and she was a Preppy stuck up school girl who didn't socialize with people like him and she basiclly couldnt accept the fact she loved him. This movie actully shows how true love never dies.
