    im just wondering how do you learn magic sleights and tricks if people dont reveal them??? obviously something has to be revealed for others to know how to do it....

    The pass in NOT a trick. It is merely a sleight, it is a part of a performance. By revealing the pass he has done nothing except show beginners a very powerful move to add to their arsenal. Like any other sleight it is to be done with no suspicion that it has occurred.
