A very late 36A rolls along the Susquehanna River on an unseasonably hot spring morning. This location is accessed via the old A&S right of way, which is now public land.

  • Derrick: With the NEC closed off in the AM to freights, was he allowed to get out and finish his run?

  • @pareido

Amtrak is pretty lenient as far as letting freights onto the NEC during the day. I'm sure he was held until a window opened in the passenger traffic (Sunday is a fairly slow day for Amtrak). I would imagine he finished his run.

  • Nice...so how long a walk was it to that spot?

  • @FastFlyingVirginian

Not too far...it took about 10-15 minutes to walk in from where I parked
