  • One of the very best things I've ever seen on youtube.

  • great stuff jeff. esteban, on the big island of mallorca spain

  • Jeff what tuning is this in..? taro?

  • Gabby, Sonny, Atta, Ozzie, Jeff.

  • WOW! Jeff calls this a demonstartion but it teaches more about the fundamentals of Hawaiian slack key than most other so-called instructional videos. I'll be coming back to this often. Thanks!

  • @slydogmania Agreed..!!!

  • Just discovered this - I'm in awe of this guy. One man and a guitar, Totally inspiring. Everything a great musician should be, connected to the past and an accomplished master whilst driving this music forward in an original way. I'm fussy and play decent guitar myself but could listen to Jeff play for hours. Only wish I could turn back the clock and try mastering this style. One day this music will catch on big-time. Jeff Peterson, I salute you - aroha from a big fan in New Zealand, Play on man

  • Beautiful none the less, i play the bass and can relate to using different turnings for an opener sound, granted an octave lower.

  • similar to a banjo, although less shrill, and the strum/ finger roll pattern on the guitar sound more pleasing, and less danceish and uppity like on the banjo.

  • What a great video! We had the chance to meet and learn from Jeff at Keola and Moana Beamer's Aloha Music Camp in February on the Big Island. Jeff is an incredible teacher and an amazing talent. Thanks for sharing!
