Oprah Winfrey gives Ron Clark Academy $365,000 12/31/08

Oprah Winfrey has bestowed the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta with $365,000. Clark, an educator and subject of the TNT film "The Ron Clark Story" starring Matthew Perry, opened the private incubator school in 2007, all through private funding. Sponsors include Delta Air Lines and Dell. Most of the 78 students are on full scholarship. He has trained thousands of teachers as well in his methodology.
