This song rivals anything ever done by Harry Chapin as far as a storyteller's song goes. As other have said, just gave me goosebumps the first time I ever heard it and every time since then.

This whole album is great. This song still gives me goose bumps. When I would play this song for my girlfriends and my now wife they said it was too sad for them. To me its the real word as we live in it today. Meaning 2011

Still to this day: Dan is my favorite singer, songwriter, musican and storyteller! I fell in love with Nether Lands 35 years ago when I was 13 and every song he has performed holds a special place in my heart! He was such a great storyteller that to this day, his songs can still bring tears to my eyes even though I've heard them hundreds of times! Dan you will be missed, but I will never stop listening to the great gifts you have given all of us with your music!!
