Very dramatic! I haven't seen this version in its entirety, only some scenes from it, but the more I see, the more I admire it.
The actress who plays Miss Jessell does an excellent job of communicating with gestures, and that's an exciting change from the unmoving ghost of the 1961 film. This one looks and ACTS malevolent.
I still think the new governess is most likely a paranoid schizophrenic, but just the possibility that it could be actual ghosts makes it so much more thrilling!
