I've seen this song featured a few times in commercials by GE and Mass Mutual so I thought I'd give it a cover. Levels were a bit high so some clipping occurred. My apologies for this.

Lyrics:

In the chilly hours and minutes of uncertainty I long to be in the warm hold of your loving mind.
To feel you all around me and to take your hand along the sand, oh but I may as well try and catch the wind.
When the sundown pales the sky I want to stay a while inside your smile and everywhere I'd look your eyes I'd find.
And for me to love you now would be the sweetest thing, 'twould make me sing. Oh but I might as well try and catch the wind.

When the rain has hung the leaves with tears, I want you near, to kill my fears. And help me leave all my blues behind.
For standing in your heart is where i want to be and long to be. Ah, but I might as well try and catch the wind.

  • Thank you learned it quickly . You explained it well -especially the tricky melody parts which make it sound like Donovan original.

  • @habdon Thanks! Glad you found it useful.

  • Great job - cover & lesson all in one - thanks for taking the time to post this!

  • nice

  • This is a fantastic tutorial :D! Especially considering it's your first! The only thing I would have liked you to add was a bit about the sort of intricate picking style, with you playing it slowed down. I'm sure it's not too hard to figure out on your own, but it still would have been a welcome addition. I look forward to seeing more tutorials in the future :).
