Stair-lifts can cause fatal accidents when tinkered by little green men. Here's one clip I captured from "Gremlins" [1984]. See Mrs. Deagle (Polly Holliday) speeding upstairs with her stair-lift and crashing through the window like a cannonball!

  • Great! One of the most innovative and funny deaths in cinematic history.

  • I love this scene. It's so cheerfully mean and sadistic! Exactly my sense of humour...

    Go Gremlins!

  • The look on the face of the guy in the picture she sideswiped just before she slammed through the window always killed me...

  • My grandmother, who is having increasing arthritis in her knees, was talking just the other day about getting an automatic chair to go up and down her staircase for her. And I sat there trying not to laugh because all I could think of was this.
