John Sanders of Hendrix College and John Jefferson Davis of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary debate the theological merit of open theology at the 2007 Open Theology Conference held at Eastern Nazarene College.
Sure, your idol does not see the future because you worship a false idol who cannot see the future. The true and living God friend knows all things and is not made in our image.
God does not see the future. This in no way, limits His divine ability but rather highlights His divine love for us. If He would know our future He would not be able to truly let us love Him back. He already loves us, but now He wants us to love Him back. This is OUR choice. Just as sin was/is our choice. Sin was created by free will agents such as man and satan, not by God. God created man with the ability of choosing to love God or not. God chose true fellowship with man over power.
