  • I prefer this song in Latin, you get a better contrast between the staccato and legato phrases with the Latin, and it's better for diction that way which, seeing as it was composed as a processional piece, does help. Crisp diction, crisp steps. I suppose if you aren't processing, English is fine, though. I do like the addition of the hand bells, the fit with the translation of the title.

  • Here is an opportunity to hear a chorale that I already know and love, but this time in English language ... though it is not as pleasant to the ear as is the Latin diction (which i adore), it offers me a greater grasp of the song's intent.   • my choir is singing this song with a version that is in English AND Latin. Best of both worlds....completely agree with MillieAzure about staccato! This version is too slow for me....
