We never tried to outdo Beijing, we approached the Opening Ceremony from a different angle, it was clever, intelligent ,witty, incredibly well directed and British, the music was incredible..who else has the Queen acting ?, the most successful author in history reading prose ?..it was brilliant, and as for the closing ceremony,two words...British Music !!, of course there are going to be haters...I have never been prouder of London and Britain, the best games ever.so said the chairman of the IOC

I wouldn't worry about negativity on you tube - it's not what the world thinks (just bitter, sad americans mostly)I remember looking at youtube after the fab beijing olympics because i knew we were going next, and the trolls were out in force dissing China back then(the press of course were rightly applauding it). Now, it's just our turn ! Still, we know we gave a fab olympics ceremony not as grand as Beijing, but still great in it's own right...so relax GB.xxxx

From Beijing to London, from awe-inspiring to aw-ful. this Olympics is both cheap and over-priced. For a whopping $14 billion, you would think that the hosts should at least provide air-conditioning, a 20th century technology, for everyone in the Olympic Village, or at least for the Americans, their greatest friends, masters and saviors. But no, the selfish and cheap Brits only installed air-conditioning for their own. The Brits do not deserve to hold an Olympics for another 100 years, or EVER!!
