This has got to be one of the biggest orders in a while. It was 100 decorated sugar cookies, small topper cake with a gumpaste topper, as well as a request to decorate 100 cupcakes. I'm surprised I survived!

  • You did an AMAZING job on everything! I'm planning my baby shower and will definitely reference this video when I make my favors. For the cupcakes what kind of frosting did you use? Is it buttercream w/ food coloring?

  • @christa2487 thank you so much & congratulations on your pregnancy! for the cupcake i colored my regular buttercream with gel food coloring ( you can get the wilton brand at walmart or a craft store) and used a 1M tip. good luck!

  • Chris your buttercream is sooo smooth! I never really learned how to do that, cos I've always done fondant cakes. I did buy Sharon Zambitos DVD though so I may have to start trying.

Wow mate, you've certainly been busy!! Hope they paid you well for all your hard work! Did you use fondant or royal icing for the cookies? or both?

    Love em!

  • @dantwaz On the cookies I used royal icing for all the decorations, except every now and then I used some confetti sprinkles.

  • @azeboi2005 Oh and one more thing: Do you have a recipe for your sugar cooking? I want my favors to come out as great as yours did :) And where did you get the cookie cutters? Thanks!!

  • @azeboi2005 Thanks! I have another question: Did you make your own royal icing? Do you have a recipe?

  • Amazing! :0

  • Love it! Great decorating!

They look faabulous. I have always used fondant and then piped with a milk glaze, but I want to try a delve into the world of royal icing. I'm kind of scared of it that's all lol.
