This a 5 minute animation that includes the USS Kelvin and the USS Enterprise from Star Trek(2009), made way before the movie was out, so it's remarkable that the models were so good, given little information about the movie at that time.

Even within this altered time line-how the hell can the Enterprise be saving the Kelvin when it wasn't even constructed till more than 20 years after the Kelvin was destroyed? It'd be as if the nuclear aircraft carrier Nimitz showed up to destroy the Japanese fleet at Pearl Harbor.('Final Countdown' anyone).

awesome work, just wish someone would start making some live action footage and incorporating it with cgi, some of these space battles that go on for 5 minutes or more is getting tiresome

@babylon218 I have heard a lot of people say the time line split but... Kirk was born on Earth in Iowa, not in space, he says so in ST4 Voyage home. so unless Nero's ship just happened to be in the way as the Kelvin was raceing to earth so Kirk could be born on earth.... time line broken. and anyway who puts giant viweing windows on a warp nacell... those things arnt good for your health, thats why they are monted away from the ship.

@happyo5387 ok the timeline stuff is easily fixed. As soon as Nero went back in time and destroyed the Kelvin he created an alternate reality. The "Prime" timeline that we know and love is still there...thank god...
