Next month, Pyramid celebrates its' 40th anniversary. The original "10,000 Pyramid" debuted on CBS 3/26/73.

Someone should post a version of this theme to match the slightly-sped up/higher pitch version used on-air for a majority of the run. Would be good to hear in stereo as opposed the distorted sound we hear in the on-air cuts. (I wish I could do it myself, I don't have any of that software or know how lol)

Even though he has most of his current fame either being on a New Year's Eve Party or hosting this Game Show, the $10,000 Pyramid. To me he will always be remembered as the man who made us all dance "The Philadelphia Way", as I'm referring to American Bandstand.

I was referring to the shows' network transfers, but I seem to agree with you about the music never being on Scooby Doo.

This music was NEVER used on Scooby Doo because CBS did not produce Scooby Doo Hanna Barberra did. All music for Scooby Doo was produced by Hanna Barberra that is why if you ever watch other HB cartoons like Josie and the Pussycats or The Funky Phantom you will hear music that was also used in Scooby Doo episodes

Best theme song ever! Well, pretty darn good one anyway. The theme went through a few incarnations, but this one definitely has that 70s sound that I miss. They made the guitar sound like a bagpipe, and that baritone sax really wails. Someone called themselves insulting the music saying it sounded as if it were from Scooby Doo, but that was some of the best filler music ever written.

And like Dick Clark's Pyramid, Scooby Doo moved from CBS to ABC in the mid 70s.
