  • On my old CRT computer monitor, I could easily see flicker at 60hz. You can too especially if you look slightly to the left or right of the screen. I usually set my refresh rate at 75 or 85, and it was noticeably more "stable" to me. I get no flicker at all on my flat widescreen replacement, and I don't even KNOW the refresh rate.

  • In 2012 panasonic plasma's have 2500 Hz! 10 sub fields of 250hz. (2011 models: 10 subfields of 60hz = 600hz).

    Flicker should be gone!

  • @Jedi0786 You can easily see flicker at 60hz, even 75hz. For most people 85hz looks pretty much comfortable on plain white. Anything more than 100hz is a waste on the human eye in the same way full range CD audio quality was on the ear. And frankly claims of 600hz is absurd since most LCDs struggle to refresh greys and browns at 200hz.

600hz would require consistent response times of 1.666ms across the board, which we arent anywhere close to having yet.

  • @icancount123578 No it was'nt.

  • Everyone knows your eyes will see flicker at 50hz, @60hz you don't see flicker, the next goal of t.v Manufacturing was aimed at sharpening the image at fast speeds. The higher the frequency of line refreshsay 600hz the sharper the images will be at faster speeds.

Summary: Flicker is a thing of the past, image sharpness at fast paces is the next generation technology....

    I hope this helps....

  • @johneymute lol hehe . this is wrong

  • @75426168 everything under 200 is bad and make movie or sport chopy .

  • @byrnesy919 it compare very good . everything over 200 CMR is good

  • my monitor is only 60 Hz, cause i shouldn't see the difference

  • The conventional image looks as if it was deliberately blurred to make it look bad.
