@coconutcrab4martin There are other avenues for those who want it enough to seek it out. I did not participate in the music program in school, yet I just licensed my first original musical. It would be great for schools to to provide tools to prod students with potential who lack the personal initiative I had, but unfortunately times are tight, and for each student who would go on to achieve what I have, resources for special programs would be wasted on hundreds who just didn't want to take gym.

@coconutcrab4martin Amen. Ask any kid (or adult, for that matter) what "orchestration" is and they will give you a cross-eyed look in return. Those who don't will say some BS like "opera," "# of musicians in a band," or "classical." God help the future of live music.
