Alberta Premier Ed Stelmach's supporters heckle Greenpeace activists as they dangle from the ceiling of the Shaw Convention Centre earlier this evening, April 24, 2008, where they disrupted Stelmach's annual Edmonton Premier's Dinner as part of their ongoing campaign to stop the tar sands.

  • Does not surprise me at all that you are an American. Why don't you keep your mouth shut when intelligent people are trying to put across a very important message. I hope we run your oil companies off of Canadian soil you sick bastard. Keep the fight strong my Greenpeace buddies.

  • Greenpeace is by far my highest return investment! Fantastic job, keep it up!

  • That fellow from Greenpeace is a hero.

  • Drill baby Drill oil baby oil print baby print all the money bankers want. Candian people care no more for the environment than Americans and that is interesting to see. It is a fact money is more important than anything humans value.

  • @tmgrk1 ignorant fuck

  • Canada would not be able to make if the USA wasn't here.. Canada is just like a lot of other countries they depend on the USA ....

  • To all the bastards who are calling us environmental supporters idiots or vermin: Go find yourselves other jobs. Learn not to destroy the earth. If money is what you want, to support your disgusting big house/bigmoney-SUV-truck aggressive lifestyles, hope you will reflect years from now when all what is left on earth is just garbage and pollution. And hope your kids will forgive you. You don't care or repair on anything regarding the environment, as long as it provides "jobs". What a disgrace.

  • The tarsands are large areas were oil is not contained into conventional pools where we can pump it out of the ground. The oil in the tarsands is seeping into the river, lakes and ground water on its own. Its great that companies are mining the oil from the ground because its removing the toxins from the ground and selling it for energy use. Plus Canada is collecting large revenues to provide services to the Canadian people that include massive green projects. + Tarsand jobs pay 3 times more.

  • It is really disturbing that there are so many people that put the "all mighty dollar" ahead of the earth. I am no activist, but I agree that the tar sands are wrong (and I am an Albertan). Quit being so selfish and think about future generations and the other lifeforms on this planet. Good on anyone who tries to make a difference.

  • Hahaha. That's a good one. :) But yeah, I'm not a fan of Eddy either.

  • A hero of the idiots. How dare you use a term that our troops should only have to describe such vermin.

  • Agreed
